How to Care for Your Jewelry

925 sterling silver naturally oxidizes over time and with wear. To delay the oxidation process, keep the jewelry away from moisture and water, especially sulfur and chlorine. Store silver jewelry in a sealed plastic bag when not in use to protect it. Avoid storing your jewelry in the bathroom or other humid areas. To clean silver jewelry, use a silver cleaning cloth or a baking soda and hot water solution.

Gold plating requires special care, as tarnishing is natural and influenced by factors such as body chemistry and the environment (daily use and friction, especially with rings). To prevent tarnishing, remove gold-plated jewelry before activities involving moisture or chemicals, store it in sealed plastic bags in dry areas, and avoid direct sunlight to prevent oxidation. Gold-plated jewelry can be cleaned gently with a 100% cotton or microfiber cloth. Additionally, we offer a re-plating service for a nominal fee.

Solid gold jewelry is generally very durable and not prone to oxidation, but it can get dirty. It can be cleaned with dish soap and boiling water by gently scrubbing with a soft-bristled toothbrush. If the jewelry contains a stone that is not a diamond, it is better not to use boiling water; instead, use just hot water and avoid excessive rubbing.

Ring Size

Weather and environment play a crucial role in measuring rings. On hot days, fingers tend to swell due to the dilation of blood vessels. On the other hand, on cold days, fingers shrink and may appear smaller. Physical activity can also change the volume of your fingers. For the most accurate measurement, it’s best to measure your finger size in the afternoon, when your body is relaxed and at its natural state. Avoid measuring immediately after physical activity or on very hot days.

Some tips:

  • Measure the relevant finger on which you would like to wear the ring.
  • Keep in mind that your right and left hands may have different sizes.
  • If you are buying a gift, take an existing ring from the person you are buying for and measure it.
  • The most recommended and accurate option is to visit a jewelry store near you and ask them to measure the size of the desired finger. Don’t forget to note down the size and specify whether it's a European or American size.
  • Another option is to take a ring that fits the relevant finger and measure its inner diameter using a ruler. Place the ruler across the center of the ring and send us a picture. We will then determine the proper size for you.

There are several other amateur ways to measure ring sizes, such as using a piece of paper or wrapping a thread around the finger. However, we do not recommend these methods, as they are not accurate.
